Coffee is part of our everyday life. It's what gets us out of bed. It's the excuse to catch up with someone. It's “let's go for a coffee” when what we really mean is “let's spend some time together.”
But how often do we actually stop and notice what's in the cup?
There are hundreds of aroma compounds in coffee. They come from the bean, from roasting, and from the way we brew it.
Suddenly, that morning coffee becomes a lot more interesting.
So let's put your nose to the test.
Using Le Nez du Café, we'll explore the aromas hidden in coffee before putting them to the test through a hands-on cupping experience.
You'll smell, guess, taste and play your way through coffee; discovering how aromas connect to different beans, roasting profiles and, ultimately, what's in your cup.
No coffee expertise needed. Just a curious nose.
What You’ll Discover
Your nose knows more than you think: using Le Nez du Café, you will uncover the aromas hiding in coffee.
Coffee is more than “coffee”: explore how beans, origins, and roasting create completely different aromas and flavours.
Taste with a little more attention: experience a guided cupping and discover what changes in the cup.
Play your way into knowing coffee: compete in aroma challenges, make associations and see if your nose gets it right.
And then… smell coffee differently. Because once you know what to look for, your everyday cup becomes a lot more interesting.
Your Hosts
Sophie - founder of Wanderphi
Sophie created this experience around something she loves about Wanderphi: taking something familiar and looking at it differently.
For this experience, she'll guide you through the aroma game, helping you smell, guess, compete, and hopefully discover that your nose knows more than you think.
The baristas from Palette by Roasteria
And because curiosity is even better with expertise, the baristas from Palette at Roasteria will guide you.
They'll bring their knowledge of coffee, from beans and roasting to cupping and tasting, and help you understand what you're actually smelling and tasting along the way.
